In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
